Refund Policy
Effective Date: May 2025
We want you to be happy with My Yarn Stash. If something's not right, here's how refunds work.
Subscription Refunds (Plus Plan)
Within 24 hours of purchase:
- Full refund, no questions asked.
- Your account will revert to Free tier.
After 24 hours:
- Refunds are evaluated case-by-case.
- If you've used significant Plus features, a partial refund (prorated) may be offered.
- If you experienced technical issues preventing use, contact us for a full refund.
Cancellation:
- You can cancel anytime from the Polar customer portal.
- Cancellation stops future billing but doesn't refund the current period.
- You keep Plus access until your billing period ends.
AI Credit Refunds
Unused credits:
- Within 24 hours of purchase: Full refund available.
- After 24 hours: No refunds for unused credits (they don't expire, so you can use them anytime).
Used credits:
- Credits are non-refundable once used.
- If AI extraction fails due to a bug on our end (not image quality), we'll restore those credits automatically.
Failed extractions:
- If extraction fails or times out, credits are NOT consumed.
- Credits are only deducted on successful extraction.
How to Request a Refund
- Email hi@myyarnstash.app with:
- Your account email
- Date of purchase
- Reason for refund request
- We'll respond within 2 business days.
- Approved refunds are processed through Polar and may take 5-10 business days to appear on your statement.
Exceptions
- Refunds may be denied if we detect abuse (e.g., repeated purchase-and-refund patterns).
- Chargebacks instead of refund requests may result in account suspension.
